Mental Health Therapy Practice Group Kate Lepley Counseling Leases Space Within Office Space Component of Ruxton Tower

Licensed clinical professional counselor and practice owner Kate Lepley chooses mixed-use project based on amenities, recent renovations, and proximity to educational institutions

Kate Lepley Counseling, LLC, owned by licensed clinical professional counselor Kate Lepley, has chosen Ruxton Tower as home to her three-year-old private mental health therapy practice. Lepley, who has more than 20 years of experience in the field, signed a lease with Hill Management Services for space within the mixed-use project located at 8415 Bellona Lane in Towson. Ruxton Tower consists of 144 high-rise apartment units and approximately 25,000 square feet of commercial office and retail space on the ground floor level.

The counseling group works with people of all ages but specializes in youth between 5 and 18 of age. Kate Lepley Counseling works with individuals dealing with anxiety and behavioral concerns. Specific issues include helping with depression, life transitions, stress management, school-related problems, and those diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Lepley explains that her practice is differentiated from other counseling groups based on her use of evidence-based therapy to help diagnose and treat specific conditions or disorders. “Our use of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy are designed to determine the root cause of the mental health issue and, further, help determine the correct path to recovery and treatment,” Lepley explained. “These modalities are proven effective, but it is extremely important to have these therapies administered by a trained and certified professional.”

Lepley further adds that the demand for services in her field has dramatically accelerated in recent years and she offers a few reasons why. “The popularity can be partially explained by the removal of the stigma associated with mental health therapy,” she explained. “In addition, parents want what is best for their children and the pressures to perform in school, on the athletic field, and socially have grown exponentially and some are not properly equipped to handle this weight. We live in a time of zero tolerance and the quest for the perfect kid and, most often, that ceiling is not achievable.”

Lepley chose Ruxton Tower for an assortment of reasons, led by the on-site and nearby amenities, recent renovations completed by Peak Management, its proximity to the educational institutions where her patients attend. “I was particularly attracted to its placement directly off the Baltimore Beltway and Charles Street, which makes it centrally located to many area schools, as well as the business center and fitness center.”

8415 Bellona Lane is owned by Peak Management, LLC, an affiliate company of Hill Management Services, Inc., a full-service real estate development, investment and management company headquartered in Timonium, Maryland. Andrew Beyrodt of Hill Management Services represented the landlord in this transaction.
