Heller Kowitz Insurance Advisors Relocating Corporate Headquarters To Hunt Valley

Independent insurance brokerage firm citing “major growth spurt through acquisitions and organic increase in business,” chooses Executive Plaza complex for expansion of offices

Heller Kowitz Insurance Advisors has signed a lease with Hill Management Services, Inc. for 6,622 square feet of space and plans to relocate its headquarters from The Foxleigh Building in Timonium to the Executive Plaza complex in Hunt Valley this fall. Danielle Bridge of Hill Management Services represented the landlord and Clare Berrang of Singer Demareck Real Estate handled negotiations on behalf of the tenant.

Partner and Co-founder Brian Kowitz explains that the 30-person insurance brokerage firm is “doubling its existing real estate footprint,” in anticipation of “a major growth spurt fueled by company acquisitions and an organic increase in business.” Last year, the company expanded to the Atlanta area to leverage the business relationships Kowitz first established while playing professional baseball for the Atlanta Braves, and the independently-owned firm has been adding new talent to handle existing and secure new business opportunities.

Heller Kowitz Insurance Advisors specializes in both personal and commercial risk management with an emphasis on employee benefits; life, disability, and long-term care; and claims and advocacy. Kowitz adds that the group is aggressively pursuing “established books of business,” and “seeking to attract new professionals”, and “exploring fertile markets to expand into.”

Located at 11350 McCormick Road, the Executive Plaza complex is equipped with a variety of business and personal amenities on the lower level including a deli, full-service fitness center, conference rooms, post office, hair salon, convenience store, storage space, garage parking, and a car detailing provider.

The business community is located adjacent to Interstate 83 in the heart of the Hunt Valley Premier Business District and is less than 10 miles from Towson and approximately 15 miles from downtown Baltimore City.
